Global Business Etiquette Case Of Germany - 1194 Words

Abstract This paper explores the different set of behaviors and customs in Germany. It describes their implications for business transactions and decision making and provides a set of recommendations on how to succeed in cross-cultural business transactions in Germany. This paper also examines different sources that report on the German culture and how to successfully conduct business in Germany considering the country’s culture. Global business etiquette: case of Germany With globalization came the need for businesses to expand overseas to gain and keep competitive advantage in the home country as well as different nations. The world is comprised of different cultures. Each culture owns a set of customs, values and behaviors affecting the way of doing business in those cultures. Therefore, a businessperson is required to learn and understand other cultures to avoid inadvertently offend possible business partners and successfully conduct business transactions in those cultures. This paper then discusses the scenario in which a businessperson plan to do business in Germany and the basis business etiquette required for this businessperson to be persuasive in the business transactions.
